Find A Thrilling Night Shows

Things to do continue when the sun goes down. After dark, Disney World has much to offer, such as watching the beloved fireworks. Yes, Disney does have fireworks shows every night. This is one of the best things to do at Disney World.

Let’s talk about the Disney night shows that will improve your days at the parks.

Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After

Immerse yourself in the fairy tale beauty of “Happily Ever After” at Magic Kingdom. It’s a spectacular fireworks show that fills the sky with music, colors, and well-known Disney characters. With the beautiful setting of Cinderella’s Castle, you can enjoy an unforgettable show that captures the magic of Disney stories.

Fantasmic! At Hollywood Studios

Not to be missed is the famous “Fantasmic!” show at Hollywood Studios. Awe-inspiring water effects, fireworks, and beloved Disney figures come together in this beautiful show that happens at night. Take your mind to the next level and follow Mickey Mouse’s bad dreams.

Epcot Forever

The current night show at Epcot is a light show that honors the park’s past, present, and future creativity. Watch fireworks, dance to moving music, and be amazed by the stunning beauty of pyrotechnics and special effects. If you want to find things to do at Epcot Disney World, this is the place to go.

Visiting Disney at night is a fun thing to do. Even though we love all of Disney’s shows, Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom is our favorite show at night. It’s such a classic thing to do!

Get Away For The Day At A Resort

disney resorts

Even though Disney is known for its rides and sights, Disney World has much more to offer than just the parks. It’s just as much fun at the resorts! You’ll always be energized because the themes are well-thought-out, and many things can be done during an extended stay.

We recommend adding a “resort day” during your trip to avoid getting too tired from going to the parks every day. This lets things move more slowly, which is excellent for relaxing and enjoying all Disney’s resorts offer.

Disney World villas have a lot to offer. There are over 25 official park hotels, each with its look and feel. These resorts have things to do for people of all ages, from relaxing by the best pools in Florida to playing golf on world-class grounds. Find out the best things to do at Disney World Resorts by reading on.

Have Fun Playing Golf At Disney World.

Enjoy a golfer’s paradise at the Walt Disney World® resorts, where golfers of all skill levels can have a world-class experience. The four courses are Walt Disney’s Palm, Lake Buena Vista, Oak Trail, and Magnolia. Guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery and well-thought-out layouts that make each round unique.

There’s a course for every player, from the tense Palm and Magnolia courses to the easy Oak Trail course that’s great for families. These courses offer a memorable day on the links, whether you’re trying to improve your swing or just taking it easy.

There is some disagreement about which Disney course is the best, but Golf Digest gave the Palm four stars. There are 59 bunkers and many water dangers on this championship course. In addition, the Palm has a lot of difficulties for both new and experienced players.

Palm, Magnolia, and Lake Buena Vista are the three courses that have been the site of a Disney PGA Tour event. So, golf fans should take a break from the theme parks and play a round at one of Disney’s best courses.

Lounge By The Pool

There’s a pool at every Disney Resort, so there’s no reason not to swim while you’re away! Also, relaxing by one of Disney’s many resort pools is a great way to break from the excitement of visiting different theme parks.

Disney’s pools are great for family fun, whether you’re swimming or lying out in the sun. They stay at a pleasant 82 degrees all year, making them the right thing to do on your day off.

Treat Yourself To A Spa Day

People who are adults and want to take a break can go to some Disney Resorts and get the royal treatment (no pun meant). The spa is only open to people aged 18 and up, but kids ages 4 to 12 can use some services. To see a list of all the resorts at Disney Resorts, click here.

One is in the Grand Floridian, and the other is in Saratoga Springs. Senses is the official Disney spa. From haircuts to massages, these spa treatments are the perfect way to relax and treat yourself. This means that every moment of your stay can make you feel good.

Go To An Arcade

Almost all of the hotels at the Disney Resort have an area where you can play games alone or with others. There are over 1,500 games to choose from at Disney World, so there are lots of fun things to do.

You need to buy a Game Card with points before you can play games at Disney’s arcades. You can pay cash or a credit card to purchase points.

Enjoy The Many Dining Choices

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Disney has a lot of places to eat. People often miss some of Walt Disney World’s best places because they are outside one of the four theme parks. So, we made a short list of our favorite places to eat at the Disney Resort.

The Best Family-Friendly Places To Eat At Disney Resort

  • In Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, you can feel like you’re in the heart of the Old West and enjoy the show’s lively spirit. Some people enjoy this dinner show at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.
  • With its beautiful grassland view, Sanaa is a one-of-a-kind restaurant inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Best Place To Eat At A Disney Resort To View The Fireworks

  • Topolino’s Terrace: On top of Disney’s Riviera Resort, this restaurant has a sophisticated setting where you can enjoy views of the Disney fireworks.
  • California Grill: You can enjoy modern American food at the California Grill, which is on top of the famous Contemporary Resort. With floor-to-ceiling windows, you can enjoy delicious food while looking out over the Magic Kingdom and taking pictures of the fireworks show.
  • Grand Floridian Cafe: At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you can eat in a casual but classy setting. The Grand Floridian Cafe is ideally placed to see the fireworks over Cinderella Castle. It has both delicious food and a magical atmosphere.

Find Out About The Resorts At Night

Want to know what to do at Disney after dark? Don’t worry—the Disney World Resorts are still fun to visit at night. You can watch the fireworks from almost anywhere, and your family can still have fun after the sun goes down.

Here are our favorite places to have a campfire after dark. At the resorts, there are many other places to have a campfire.

Fort Wilderness Campfire Singalong

A beloved ritual is the Campfire Singalong, where families gather around a crackling fire to roast marshmallows, tell stories, and sing with Disney characters.

This good-natured and fun event catches the essence of a traditional campfire. It usually starts around 7 p.m. in the autumn and winter and after 8 p.m. in the spring and summer.

More At The Firepit At Animal Kingdom Lodge

While looking out at the savannah, you can enjoy a standard treat, s’mores, by the fire pit at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. There are graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows for you!

Other Things To Do At The Resorts

If you’re still looking for more fun things to do at Disney World besides going to the parks, here is a list of them. Do these fun things at the lodge to make the most of your day:

Go For Fishing

You can either bring your fishing gear or go on an organized trip! With well-stocked rivers, fishermen can get away to a peaceful place. You can get different kinds of freshwater fish in the beautiful resort areas.

Sign Up For A Drawing Class.

At some Disney resorts, you can let out your inner artist by taking drawing lessons. These classes, taught by skilled professionals, are a fun and creative way to write down the magic of your trip. So, these drawing classes make your Disney experience more unique, no matter how good or bad an artist you are.

Bring In Sangrita At Coronado Springs

You can try different kinds of sangria at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort’s Sangria University. You can learn how to make the Spanish drink and then enjoy it as a toast to a great time at Disney.

Hire A Bike In Surrey And Visit The Resorts

You can take a Surrey bike at different Disney resorts and ride to fun and exciting places. Get your family or friends together, hop on one of these bikes that can hold more than one person, and enjoy the beautiful vacation scenery! It’s a relaxing and fun way to enjoy the scenery and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Enjoy A Cruise On A Canoe

To enjoy a relaxing boat ride around the lakes at Disney resorts, take a pontoon boat and hit the water. These rentals offer a private and magical water adventure, so you can enjoy the magic of Disney from a new and different point of view, whether you’re looking for a romantic sunset cruise or a daytime tour.

Canoe Or Kayak At Fort Wilderness

Take a kayaking or canoeing trip through Fort Wilderness to see its wild beauty. As you paddle through the calm waters of this vacation, you can enjoy a peaceful experience. Additionally, kayaking at Fort Wilderness is an excellent way for nature lovers and families to relax while exploring the outdoors.

You can do many fun things at Disney World besides visiting the parks. Similarly, let’s talk about Disney Springs, a busy area outside the theme parks.

Take A Walk In Disney Springs

You have to go to Disney Springs to experience Disney’s lively energy outside of the parks. Thanks to specialized transport, getting to any Disney resort is more accessible than having many shops, restaurants, and things to do.

Try the Famous Cookies at Gideon’s Bakehouse: If you’re craving something sweet, go to Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs. It’s where famous cookies that have become legendary come from. It’s a tasty treat that any Disney fan has to try!

Fly in the Hot Air Balloon: Take off in a hot air balloon at Disney Springs Aerophile, the world’s best balloon ride. This relaxing activity gives you a view of Disney Springs’s beautiful scenery in all directions.

See a Movie at the AMC Theatre: Take a break from all the fun things to do at Disney Springs and relax at the AMC Theatre with a movie. You can unwind and enjoy some movie fun here.

Experience a One-of-a-Kind Adventure on an Amphicar Tour: Take a trip through the beautiful rivers of Disney Springs in a water car that looks like it was made in the 1930s.

See Cirque du Soleil: At Disney Springs, you can get lost in the mesmerizing world of Cirque du Soleil. Acrobatics, art, and stories are woven together in this world-famous show. Witness a stunning and fantastic show that keeps people of all ages spellbound.

Watch Irish Dancers on Raglan Road: If you want to get a real taste of Ireland, go to Raglan Road and listen to the lively beats of Irish dancers. You can eat traditional Irish food and watch the artists do high-energy step dancing.

Things To Do At Disney During Different Seasons

When you go to Disney during the holidays, you can feel the magic of the places. Each festival has unique entertainment, food, and cultural displays that make the experience more meaningful. The good news is that the parks have festivals year-round, so you can choose the yearly event that works best for you.

Check out the Epcot Festivals

All year long, Epcot is the site of many fun events.

The Best Adult Activities At Disney World

We thought of the best things for adults to do at Disney World so that you can have a more grown-up time. Some are easier to spot than others, but don’t worry—we know all about Disney and can help you.

Drink From All Over The World At Epcot

One of the best things people can do at Disney World is to drink worldwide at Epcot. You get to try all the unique drinks from each country! In Mexico, we love the El Diablo Margarita; in the US, we love the Frozen Mint Julep.

But if you want to check out Orlando’s nightlife after a day at the park, make sure you have an approved driver or a car service ready. You can also get a lot of drinks without alcohol, or you can ask the service to make any drink without alcohol.

Bar Hopping On The Monorail

Use the free monorail to get to and from any of the Disney Resorts and enjoy a tasty drink at each hotel stop. Start by getting a glass of champagne in the Enchanted Rose Lounge at the Grand Floridian. This will fit in with the fancy mood.

Next, get your drink to go at the Contemporary Resort’s Steakhouse 71 Lounge. You are free to walk around the lodge whenever you want! The Tambu Lounge in the Polynesian Village Resort is the last place to enjoy a taste of a tropical vacation. Enjoy your night with a tasty snack and a fruity drink.

Atlantic Dance Hall And Jellyrolls

Go to the Boardwalk for a night of fun entertainment. Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance Hall are both fascinating places to be. In short, these well-known bars have a lively atmosphere with live music and dance. They’re great for people who want to have a fun night out.

How To Get To The Kingdom

You can see the magic from a different angle with the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. It gives you a unique look at Magic Kingdom from behind the scenes. This might ruin the magic for kids, but it’s exciting and educational for people interested in Disney’s small details.

You can see that Disney World has many things for adults to do. Everyone can have the time of their lives there!

Different Things to Do at Disney World

Want to know what kinds of unique things you can do at Disney World? There are many options, but we’ll help you narrow them down.

  • If you want a haircut, Harmony Barber Shop is the best place to get one. This cute barbershop on Main Street is great for kids and adults because it has a cozy, old-fashioned feel. Treat yourself to a little extra luxury in the middle of all the park action.
  • You can play mini-golf on one of the courses at Disney World. There are two excellent courses: Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland. This fun and different activity is a nice change from the usual park attractions. It’s great for a relaxing afternoon or a friendly family battle.
  • Take a Dive in the Epcot Aquarium: Step into The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion at Epcot and dive into the ocean’s depths. Qualified people don’t know this, but qualified divers can jump into the vast tank. You can swim with many sea creatures, like sea turtles and rays. This is one of the most incredible things you can do at Disney World.
  • Fort Wilderness and Port Orleans Riverside both offer horseback rides. Get away from the crowds and noise of the parks and enjoy a peaceful ride. You can ride horseback through beautiful trails at Fort Wilderness and Port Orleans Riverside. You can enjoy the natural beauty of Disney World in this fun way.
  • Enjoy the Water Parks: Many people think of Disney World’s famous theme parks when they think of water parks. There are two at Disney: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Exciting water rides, lazy rivers, and wave pools make it a great day for people who want to do something different at Disney.
